The document approved a concept of safe tourism in the cities of Bukhara, Samarkand, Khiva and Shakhrisabz.
According to the decree, departments for ensuring safe tourism in the structures of the departments of internal affairs will be established in Bukhara, Samarkand, Khorezm and Kashkadarya regions.
The heads of the new structures will also hold the post of the deputy heads of the departments of the interior affairs of the regions.
The new structures will ensure public order and combat crime in the territory of tourist facilities.
They will undertake a system analysis of developing operational and criminal situation in the territories of these facilities, identifying and taking targeted measures to eliminate the causes and conditions of offenses committed against tourists.
Employees of departments, who work at tourist sites will receive tablets for the use of the Electronic Translator software and databases of electronic information systems.
By 1 January 2018, the government instructed to develop “road maps” for implementation of the concept of safe tourism in the cities of Bukhara, Samarkand, Khiva and Shakhrisabz.
The program will be financed through loans and technical assistance from international organizations and government organizations, as well as other sources of funding.
