Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers “On measures to introduce a system for the return of part of the costs of domestic travel carried out in the Republic of Uzbekistan” was adopted.

In accordance with the resolution of the President “On additional measures to diversify domestic tourism services”, for citizens of Uzbekistan (local tourists), a procedure for returning part of the costs (“Cashback”) for domestic travel carried out in the regions of the republic is introduced within the framework of the program “Uzbekiston boylab sayohat qil!”

Reimbursement of travel expenses is carried out through the electronic platform, including through its mobile application.

The development of the Platform was entrusted to the Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Heritage. Until 1 October 2022, conditions will be created for the provision of services by accommodation facilities, tour operators and travel agents, guides (guide-interpreters), instructor-guides and guides through the Platform.

The Ministry of Transport integrates the Platform with its interactive information system "Uztrans", portals for the purchase of electronic tickets of JSC "Uzbekiston Temir Yollari", JSC "Uzbekistan Airways" and other organizations licensed to transport passengers.

By integrating the Platform with a special mobile application of the State Tax Committee (SoliqUz), the authenticity of expenses is verified using a mobile application, matrix barcodes (QR codes) of checks are scanned and the permanent place of residence of local tourists is indicated with travel registration.

Refunds for travel expenses are made when:

use of air, railway and (or) motor transport;

using the services of accommodation facilities;

visits to cultural organizations.

Travel expenses are refunded to each tourist in the following amounts:

15% of the round-trip ticket amount when traveling by air, but not more than 150 thousand soums;

15% of the round-trip ticket amount when traveling by rail or bus, but not more than 80 thousand soums;

15% of the amount of expenses for spending the night in accommodation facilities, but not more than 80 thousand soums;

50% of the amount of each visit to theaters, museums, circuses and art galleries, but not more than 20 thousand soums.

Reimbursement of expenses is carried out only through the Platform to the bank card of local tourists at the end of the domestic trip.
