The document was adopted to create necessary conditions for providing quality services to passengers and stations and in passenger trains.

The rules determine order of transportation of passengers (organization of ticket sales and work of ticket sales offices, transportation of tourists and passengers, etc), luggage, cargo and others.

The document also set order of storing goods at luggage offices and control over transportation, Norma.uz said. The rules now stipulate that the passengers can pay for tickets with banking payment cards.

The rules provided preferential rights to purchase tickets to workers of the President’s Office and Cabinet of Ministers.

Legal entities, which transport a group of passengers (10 or more), now should submit application to purchase tickets 20 days before passenger departure. The term was 45 days earlier.

The rules said that second child at the age of up to five can travel for free, but both parents should accompany them. The document also envisages rules of returning unused tickets.
