Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - A government resolution approved the “Regulation on licensing the safeguarding of immovable property of tangible cultural heritage”.

In accordance with the Regulation, the Department of Cultural Heritage of the Ministry of Culture is determined as the licensing body for the preservation of real estate objects of tangible cultural heritage.

Licensing applies to the conservation, restoration, repair, adaptation to modern use, as well as the restoration of the facility.

The preservation of immovable property of tangible cultural heritage may be carried out by legal entities that have received a license in the prescribed manner.

The license is issued in the following categories:

- Category I license - for the implementation of work on the preservation of objects of local importance;

- Category II license - for the implementation of work on the conservation of objects of republican and local significance.

To obtain a license, the applicant must personally contact the State Service Centers or register in the Unified Portal of Interactive State Services, the license is issued for an unlimited period.

The licensing authority creates a register of licenses through the complex of information systems "License".
