Nexus 4 is latest smartphone of Google, developed together with LG. It has a quad-core processor which means it's super fast, a crisp 4.7" (320 ppi) display that's perfect for looking at photos and watching YouTube, and with wireless charging the users just set the phone down on a charging surface to power it up, no wires needed.
While Nexus 4 is incredibly powerful under the hood, it also features the latest version of Jelly Bean, Android 4.2—the simplest and smartest version of Android yet.
Starting with the camera, Google reinvented the photo experience with Photo Sphere, which lets the users capture images that are literally larger than life. Snap shots up, down and in every direction to create stunning 360-degree immersive experiences that the users can share on Google+ with friends and family—or add to Google Maps for the world to see.
Android 4.2 brings other great goodies like Gesture Typing, which lets the users glide your finger over the letters they want to type on the keyboard—it makes typing fast, fun and a whole lot simpler. Android 4.2 also adds support for wireless display so the users can wirelessly watch movies, YouTube videos and play games right on your Miracast-compatible HDTV.
The price of Nexus 4 with 8GB internal memory will be US$299 and with 16Gb – US$349. The device is available unlocked and without a contract.
Nexus 10 is the ultimate tablet for watching movies or reading magazines. Google said it wanted to build a premium entertainment device, so it partnered with Samsung to do it.
Nexus 10 is the highest resolution tablet on the planet with a 10.055" display at 2560-by-1600 (300ppi), that's over 4 million pixels. It comes with a powerful battery, which allows the device work up to nine hours of video playback and more than 500 hours of standby time.
With a set of front-facing stereo speakers, the users can watch movies right from Nexus 10 and they simply sound awesome. But what makes Nexus 10 unique is that it's the first truly shareable tablet. With Android 4.2, the users can add multiple users and switch between them instantly right from the lockscreen. Google stated that it believes that everyone should have quick and easy access to their own stuff -- email, apps, bookmarks, and more. That way, everyone can have their own home screens, their own music, and even their own high scores. The tablet has two cameras –1.9 megapixels frontal and 5 megapixel main camera.
The price of Nexus 10 in the USA with 16 GB memory makes up US$399 and with 32 GM memory – US$499.
Google also presented 32GB version of its Nexus 7 tablet computer, which also will work under Android 4.2 operation system.
Previous version of Nexus 7 had 16 Gb of memory. The device will be produced into versions with mobile network module and only with Wi-Fi.
The price of Nexus 7 with 32Gb is US$249. The company will sell Nexus 7 with mobile network module for US$299.
Sales of new devices will kick off on 13 November. The USA, Australia, Great Britain, Germany, Spain, Canada and France will be first countries, where new devices can be purchases.
Google also presented new version of its mobile operation system Android 4.2. As Android 4.1, announced in June 2012, it received code name Jelly Bean.
New operation system is similar with Android 4.1, but offers new opportunities to users. For example, the users can set easily move widgets to home screen. Tablet computers with Android 4.2 allow to create several accounts and each account will have own settings and set of apps. This function is not available for smartphones.
Android 4.2 offers new function Photo Sphere, which allows users to take spherical panoramas from pictures. Earlier, Android allowed to make only horizontal panoramas.
The users now can glide letters to type texts with Gesture Typing. Android 4.2 allows devices to enable wireless display. The users can share movies, YouTube videos, and anything that’s on the screen of device on an HDTV. Just connect a wireless display adapter to any HDMI-enabled TV to mirror what’s on screen of the device quickly and easily.
