Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree on 7 January on appointing a deputy finance minister and director of a public-private partnership development agency under the Ministry of Finance of Uzbekistan. It was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Finance.

According to the decree, Golib Kholjigitov was appointed as deputy finance minister - director of the Agency for Development of Public-Private Partnerships under the Ministry of Finance, the ministry’s press service said.

Golib Kholzhigitov was born in 1979, an economist by education. In 2001, he graduated from the University of Northern Arizona (USA), in 2004 - the Tashkent State Economic University, and in 2012 - Harvard University in the USA.

He began his career in the Ministry of Finance in 2001. From 2004 to 2011, he worked as the head of an expert group on improving antimonopoly policy under the State Committee on Privatization, De-Monopolization and Development of Competition.

From 2016 to 2018, he worked as a project manager for automation and implementation of robotic services in the field of private capital management and financial technologies at the UBS Global Wealth Management Headquarters (USA).

From 2018, he worked as a project manager for the implementation of big data and machine learning in financial services at Bank of America Merrill Lynch Corporation (USA).
