Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan will begin selling gold bars and commemorative banknotes using vending machines.

This is stipulated by the decree of the President of Uzbekistan “On measures to significantly increase the flow of foreign tourists to the republic and further enhance domestic tourism.”

The document notes that in national jewelry stores it is allowed to install vending machines for the sale of ingots produced in the Republic of Uzbekistan, made from precious metals, as well as commemorative banknotes of the Central Bank.

At the same time, “golden rows” are being created in shopping and entertainment complexes. These rows will sell national jewelry and bullion bars (gold bars weighing 10, 20, 50, 100, 200, 500 grams and 1 kilogram), which were produced in Uzbekistan.
