GM Uzbekistan to receive filters of local production
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
Foreign enterprise SDK GROUP AND was founded in Andijan region, which will produce oil, fuel and air filters for vehicles, as well as filters for agriculture and special equipment.
Investment company Valencia assisted to organize production of filters, which is located in Shakhrihan city.
Janis Astashenko, representative of Valencia, said Uzbekistan purchases almost 90% of filters for locally produced vehicles and equipment. He added that the company, focusing on supporting automobile enterprises, decided to assist to localization of this component in the region.
He said over US$2.3 million were invested to preparation stage and overall US$3.7 million will be invested to the capacity. He added that the enterprise started experimental party of oil, fuel and air filters.
The enterprise will supply main part of products to GM Uzbekistan. The filters will be cheaper compared to imported analogues. About 30% of raw materials will be supplied locally and other part will be imported from Russia, Germany, and South Korea.
Currently, SDK GROUP AND utilized 50 types of filters, but the enterprise can raise this number to 4,500. The enterprise will be able to produce 500-1,500 fuel, 5,000-7,000 oil and 2,000-2,5000 air filters per shift after it reaches full capacity.
