GM Uzbekistan starts to sell restyled Chevrolet Captiva
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- GM Uzbekistan, an Uzbek-US joint venture, started to sell restyled Chevrolet Captiva with 2.4 liter engine, Uzavtosanoat joint stock company said.

Sales of updated car started in all automobile saloons in Tashkent city. The cost of the car based on its modification makes up from 69.575 million soums to 74.58 million soums.

As reported earlier, the presentation of restyled Chevrolet Captiva has been held in Tashkent on 6 September 2011.

Chevrolet Captiva differs with new sport design and better equipped. The car has new engine and transmission.

Exterior changes of Chevrolet Captiva touched front side. The car gets new front-light block and restyled bumper. Form of fog-lights was also changed. All these changes turned crossover to sport car.

Design of exterior and interior of the car was developed in details. Designers used stylish elements such as blue diffused color and curved control panel.

Interior of restyled Captiva create comfort both to driver and passengers due to wide salon and many sections for storing small goods.

Back seats of the second and third rows can be removed and large seven seat car will turn to car for cargo transportation.

Chevrolet Captiva is equipped with parking sensors, CD/MP3 player, Bluetooth, seven inch navigation sensor display, emergency stop-light, and HVAC distance climate control on steering wheel.

The car uses new four wheel drive system. In normal road conditions, the car will use front axle, while back axle will automatically used at necessity, for example slippery roads.

Passive security system has six safety bags – frontal and side bags for drivers and front side passenger, air curtains to protect back side passengers.

Chevrolet Captiva is equipped with three-liter engine with the capacity of 258 horsepower. Earlier model had 3.2 liter engine with the capacity of 230 horsepower. The car consumes 10.5 liters of fuel per 100 km.

New Captiva received six-step automatic transmission against five-step automatic transmission in previous version. New transmission developed to optimize technical characteristics of car and its economy. The first gear is for dynamic start, while sixth gear is directed at decreasing speed at maximum speed to save fuel.
