GM Uzbekistan plans to increase production, export

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- GM Uzbekistan, an Uzbek-US carmaker, is planning to increase exports of cars up to 120,000 units in 2013, which is 1.4 times more compared to 2011.

UzAvtoSanoat said that GM Uzbekistan plans to export 90,000 cars in 2012 and 120,000 cars in 2013. The exports volume made up 85,000 cars in 2011.

GM Uzbekistan is planning to produce 240,000 cars in 2012 and increase the production volume to 270,000 in 2013.

In 2011, the production of cars at the enterprise grew by 2.1% year-on-year to 221,445 units in 2011.
