BEIJING, Feb. 8 (Xinhua) -- Natalie Geisenberger of Germany stormed to the women’s singles gold in the Beijing 2022 luge event at the Yanqing Sliding Center on Tuesday.
The German sliding star clocked a combined time of three minutes and 53.454 seconds in four runs.
Her teammate Anna Berreiter claimed silver in 3:53.947 while Tatyana Ivanova of the Russian Olympic Committee took bronze in 3:54.507.
The gold is Geisenberger’s sixth Olympic medal, after she won singles and team golds at both the 2014 Sochi and 2018 PyeongChang Games. She also took a singles bronze from Vancouver in 2010.
