German experts hold a seminar on the topic “German experience in the management and privatization of state assets”

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In collaboration with a delegation in Uzbekistan led by the director of the department of the Federal Ministry of Finance of Germany, Dr. Andreas Kerst, a practical seminar was organized on the topic “German experience in the management and privatization of public assets”, aimed at increasing institutional potential of employees of the State Assets Agency.

The seminar was attended by employees of the State Assets Agency, including representatives of all territorial departments and subordinate structures, as well as representatives of the media.

The seminar speakers were the director of the department of the Federal Ministry of Finance of Germany, Dr. Andreas Kerst, the deputy director of the department, Dr. Frederic Frucht, the project director of the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ), Dr. Berthold Wolberg, as well as the head of the Indecon consulting company, Matthias Naim.

Dr. Andreas Kerst in his report introduced the event participants to the principles of managing state assets in Germany, including the main goals of the Federal Code of Corporate Governance, the legal basis of the Federation's privatization policy and its types.

The speakers also shared their experiences about achievements and shortcomings in the field of privatization in Germany, aspects that should be paid attention to and that are important in this process, as well as steps to transition enterprises with state participation to a market mechanism.

In turn, this seminar, which aroused great interest among the participants, was full of questions and answers and effectively served to improve the professional knowledge of employees of the State Assets Agency.
