Gazprom to buy 30bn cm of gas from Uzbekistan in 2010
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Russia’s gas monopoly Gazprom will buy 30 billion cubic meters of natural gas from Uzbekistan next year according to the long-term agreement reached, Russia’s gas monopoly said in a statement.
Karachaganak, a major gas condensate field in Kazakhstan, will supply about 7 billion cubic meters in 2009.
Gazprom also plans to buy as much as 70-80 billion cubic meters of gas annually from Turkmenistan by 2028.
The Russian monopoly agreed to pay US$340 per 1,000 cubic metres.
