The Russian company said a delegation of Gazprom OJSC led by deputy chairman Alexander Medvedev visit Uzbekistan with a working visit.
Within the visit, Medvedev held negotiations with Uzbek Vice Premier Minister Ergash Shaismatov and chairman of Uzbekneftegaz national holding company Ulugbek Nazarov.
On the result of the talks, the sides signed the contract on supply of the Uzbek gas at the volume of 4.25 billion cubic meters in 2010 between Gazprom Export LLC and Uztransgas JSC.
In line with the reached agreement, the price formula to supplied gas from Uzbekistan will correspond to conditions in European gas market. In line with earlier agreements, Gazprom will purchase 15.5 billion cubic meters of gas from Uzbekistan in 2010.
Alexander Medvedev said the sides have constructive position, which allows to reach agreements, lift the level of mutual beneficial cooperation and launch long-term contract.
