Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Gayrat Fozilov has been appointed as the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Belgium. He arrived in Brussels on 5 December, Dunyo news agency reported.
It is worth noting that from 2021 until recently, Gayrat Fozilov served as the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan.
In his new role as the Ambassador to Belgium, he succeeded Dilior Hakimov, who held the position of envoy to Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg since 2017. Additionally, Hakimov led Uzbekistan’s missions to the European Union and NATO with residence in Brussels.
