Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A gas leak occurred today, on 10 February, on the Bukhara – Urals main gas pipeline, leading to a fire. The pipeline, with a diameter of 1,020 mm, is operated by UMG Gazli.

According to the Ministry of Energy, all necessary measures are being taken to address the incident.

The Regional Emergency Situations Department reported that the accident took place at 11:26 AM at the 106th kilometer of the pipeline, about 40 km from Romitan district. The valves were quickly shut off at 11:30 AM, leading to the controlled release of residual gas. The fire has now been fully extinguished.

Preliminary reports indicate that no casualties have been recorded. Emergency response teams, including regional authorities and firefighting crews, are working at the scene.
