Galina Saidova to head MFERIT

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov appointed new minister of foreign economic relations, investment and trade of the country on 28 December 2010.

In line with the presidential decree, Galina Saidova has been appointed as minister of foreign economic relations, investment and trade (MFERIT) of Uzbekistan.

Galina Saidova replaced Elyor Ganiev at this post, who has been appointed as the minister of foreign affairs. Earlier, Saidova worked as the first deputy minister of economy of Uzbekistan.
