Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) —  In Beijing, during the official opening of the "Year of Tourism of Uzbekistan in China," a meeting took place between the Chairman of the Committee for Tourism, Umid Shadiev, and the Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism of China, Li Yingchuan.

The sides noted the successful launch of the "Year of Tourism of Uzbekistan in China," which is being held in accordance with the agreements reached between the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and the President of China, Xi Jinping, during the state visit in January of this year.

During the meeting, the current status and further steps for expanding tourism cooperation were discussed in detail.

The Chinese side confirmed its readiness to make joint efforts to conduct all events of the "Year of Tourism of Uzbekistan in China" at a high level.

Li Yingchuan expressed confidence that in the coming years, Uzbekistan will become one of the popular tourist destinations for Chinese citizens.
