Fund Forum sums up results of Pedagogical Grants Program
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Fund Forum summed up results of the Pedagogical Grants Program 2012. Some 48 winners, who proposed actial and innovative projects in education sector, were awarded in Tashkent on 22 February within the National scientific-practical conference “Pedagogical Grants: experience of past and step to future”.

Fund Forum, Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education and Ministry of Public Education organized the conference.

The conference was attended by ministries and structures of education system of Uzbekistan, heads of universities, colleges, lyceums and schools, as well as winners of Pedagogical Grants Program.

The conference was held in two parts. The first part was dedicated to modern pedagogical technologies, while the second part was devoted to Pedagogical Grants Program. The presentations of the projects of the previous years and winners of the Pedagogical Grants Program in 2012 were held.

The conference was held in video format, which linked all regions of Uzbekistan. Teachers and students from all regions discussed education technologies and shared their proposals on further development of education systm.

The conference participants, who arrived in Tashkent from regions, visited Center for enlightment under Uzbekistan National Library named after Alisher Navoi, Singapore Management Development Institute, Turin Polytechnical University, etc.

According to Fund Forum, it accepted applications to the Pedagogical Grants Program from 1 October to 31 December 2012. It received 1,530 applications, of which 900 were from universities, 412 – from secondary educational establishments (207 lyceums and 205 from colleges), 218 – from schools.

Pedagogical Grants Program has been launched in 2006. Within the framework of the project monetary encouragements are given to teachers and scientific employees, and also grants are allocated for realization of innovative projects in the education field. Since 2006 the Project has involved 6632 teachers. Some 347 of them have become winners. Totally 212.4 million soums were allocated.
