Fund Forum presented in Hungary
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A presentation of Fund Forum was held at the National Sport Palace in Budapest, Hungary, on 22 February 2011. Over 50 representatives of culture, science and public circles, as well as heads of tourism companies participated at the event.

The event was organized by the representative office of Fund Forum in Austria, Embassy of Uzbekistan in Hungary with residence in Vienna, Honourable Council of Uzbekistan in Hungary at the official support of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Hungary.

Participants got acquainted with main directions of the activities of the Fund Forum, including its efforts to revive spiritual heritage, national traditions of the Uzbek people and support of the Fund to young talents.

Hungary's state secretary for culture Geza Szocs said that Hungarian and Uzbek people have common historic and cultural roots. The Hungarian side currently is planning to hold joint scientific projects with Uzbek partners to study commonality of the Uzbek and Hungarian people. In the first half of 2011, the group of Hungarian scientists will pay visit to Tashkent.

Director of Hungarian Opera and Ballet Theater Gyula Harangozo drew attention to existing potential of Uzbekistan in ballet art, with which he familiarized during trip to Tashkent in 2010. Gyula Harangozo said that State Academic Bolshoi Theatre named after Alisher Navoi and Hungarian Opera and Ballet Theater signed a memorandum and the sides are cooperating within the document. The document was signed at the support of the Fund Forum. Harangozo said that he will be happy to contribute to cultural cooperation in cooperation with the Fund Forum.

Activity of Bureau of Youth Tourism and Cooperation “Kelajak-Tur”, created at the support of Fund Forum and Center for Youth Initiatives Kelajak Ovozi. Director of department of Hungary National Tourist Office Mark Kinches said that tourism is developing fast in Uzbekistan and growing inflow of foreign tourists to the country can serve as evidence for that. He said that both countries have great potential in tourism sector. Kinches stated about intention on boosting participation of the Hungarian tourism companies in international tourism events in Uzbekistan. He expressed interest in participation of Hungary’s representatives in the annual festival Asrlar Sadosi, which will be held in Bukhara in late April.

President of Association of Hungarian Travel Agents and Tour Operators Gabriella Molnár stated that Uzbekistan is center of culture and art of the Great Silk Road and proposed to hold exhibition “The 125 years to the Uzbek photography” in Budapest, which was created by Fund Forum based on archive researches, which revealed over hundreds high quality images of the 19th-20th century.

Honourable council of Uzbekistan in Hungary Laszlo Toth said that grandious projects of Fund Forum as Asrlar Sadosi, Bazar-Art and others presents national traditions and customs, works of the best masters.
