Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Federal Security Service (FSB) of Russia has identified the Ukrainian citizen who posted a provocative video, allegedly representing a Russian citizen, making chauvinistic statements against the Uzbek nation.

According to the FSB, the individual responsible is Nikolai Kochmarik, originally from the Mykolaiv region, who is currently located in Ukraine and supports the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

The video was reportedly uploaded to a YouTube channel controlled by Lithuanian intelligence services.

In response, the Russian Embassy in Uzbekistan strongly condemned these actions, calling them a manipulative attempt by Ukraine with Western backing.

Diplomats emphasized that such provocations aim to undermine the relations between Russia and Uzbekistan, which are based on mutual respect, friendship, and a shared desire for prosperity.

The embassy expressed confidence that these information attacks would not find support in Uzbekistan and that the fraternal nations would not fall for attempts to incite interethnic discord.

The statement also called on the media to exercise caution and avoid spreading unverified materials intended to provoke and destabilize relations between the two countries.
