Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 31 March, an event dedicated to the completion of the project "Organization and provision of an information system of an integrated university" was held at the Tashkent University of Information Technologies named after Muhammad al-Khwarizmi.
It was attended by the Minister for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications Sherzod Shermatov and representatives of the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA).
It considered the results of the work carried out within the framework of the project "Organization and provision of an information system of an integrated university". The goal of the project is to improve the quality of education and management at TUIT and its Samarkand branch through the use of digital technologies in educational processes.
In accordance with the project, data centers began their work at TUIT and its Samarkand branch. Two classrooms of the university’s digital library were equipped with new computer equipment, 3 exemplary classrooms for lectures and a computer class were organized.
Due to the gratuitous financial assistance from KOICA in cooperation with the Korean University Kookmin, the project "Opening the educational direction "Global IT business" and opening the FABLAB laboratory for the integration of production processes" was included in the list of planned funded projects. This project is planned to be implemented in 2022-2027.
Following the meeting, the parties noted the high potential for the development of cooperation and expressed their readiness to mobilize all efforts to develop partnerships in the field of information technology.
