Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- From April 2024, notaries in Uzbekistan will certify real estate and vehicle transactions only in the absence of debt for garbage removal.

This is stipulated by the decree of the President of Uzbekistan “On measures to improve the waste management system and reduce their negative impact on the environment.”

Checking the availability of debt will be carried out online through a unified electronic system of payment and accounting of mandatory payments for the collection and removal of solid household waste.

The Republican Center for Organization of Sanitary Cleaning Works will be responsible for the uninterrupted operation of the system.

Payments for waste disposal services and subscriber accounts will be made exclusively through the center’s billing system, payment systems or bank cash registers.

From 1 April, all sanitary cleaning enterprises are required to provide services to citizens through a unified electronic system. If this requirement is not met, their contracts will be canceled and service areas will be transferred to other enterprises as part of a public-private partnership.
