From 1 April, the excise tax on gasoline, diesel fuel and gas will increase

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- From 1 April 2024, the excise tax rate on AI-80 gasoline will increase by 12.2% in Uzbekistan, reaching 340,000 soums per ton.

The excise tax rate on the sale of this brand of gasoline to the end consumer will increase from 425 to 476 soums per liter.

Previously, the Ministry of Economy and Finance reported that as a result of this measure, 1 liter of AI-80 gasoline will rise in price by 1%, or 88 soums.

Excise tax rates on gasoline with an octane rating of 91 and higher (Ai-91 and higher) remain at 303 thousand soums per ton for manufacturers and 425 soums per liter when sold to the end consumer.

The excise tax on diesel fuel will increase from 291,000 to 326 thousand soums per ton for manufacturers and from 425 to 476 soums per liter at retail.

The excise tax on ECO diesel fuel (with the exception of synthetic) will increase from 262,000 to 293,000 soums per ton.

The excise tax on liquefied gas is also increasing from 425 to 476 soums per liter when sold to the end consumer, compressed gas - from 605 to 678 soums per cubic meter.

The Ministry of Economy and Finance noted that as a result, the price of methane will increase by 3%, or 84 soums.

From 1 January 2034, Uzbekistan abolished the zero excise tax rate on AI-80 gasoline. At UNG Petro gas stations, the cost of a liter of AI-80 gasoline increased from 6,050 soums to 6,800 soums. In private gas stations, the price of AI-80 varies from 8,000 to 8,800 soums per liter.
