The embassy noted that the French MP met the chairperson of the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan Dilorom Tashmuhamedova, chairperson of the parliamentary friendship group “Uzbekistan-France” and the Committee on international affairs of Legislative Chamber Latif Gulyamov on 15 February.

Roland Blum also held talks with the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Vladimir Norov.

During the meeting, the sides discussed issues of strengthening inter-parliamentary cooperation between France and Uzbekistan, joint work of friendship groups, as well as bilateral relations.

Roland Blum underlined the growth of mutual exchanges between France and Uzbekistan and positive results of inter-parliamentary cooperation in the period, when two states mark establishment of diplomatic relations.
