French envoy pays visit to Uzbek Foreign Ministry
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to Uzbekistan Francois Gauthier held negotiations at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan on 21 July 2011.
The press service of the Uzbek ministry said that the sides considered actual issues of the Uzbek-French cooperation.
According to the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan, trade turnover between Uzbekistan and France grew 3.35 times from US$37.6 million to US$126.2 million. Share of France in foreign trade turnover of Uzbekistan made up 2.2%.
Exports of Uzbekistan to France grew from US$24.2 million in January-March 2010 to US$90.6 million in the same period of 2011. Import grew from US$13.4 million to US$35.6 million.
