Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Ministry of Agriculture of Uzbekistan hosted a meeting of Minister Aziz Voitov with the director of Interco Nouvelle Aquitaine international cooperation agency of France Christine Pecastain and chief specialist Guillermo Martins.

During the meeting, the French side said it monitors reforms in agriculture in Uzbekistan, as well as in science and education. It was also noted about the scientific potential, which has been developing rapidly. French counterparts visited Uzbekistan to get a better understanding of these processes.

Aziz Voitov noted that National Centre of Knowledge and Innovation in Agriculture under the Ministry (AKIS) is a base organization in wide introduction of science and innovation into agricultural practice and invited guests to get familiar with activities of International Agricultural University, Tashkent State Agrarian University and AKIS research institutes and centres.

The members of the delegation got familiarized with exhibition, which clearly demonstrated the potential of Tashkent State Agrarian University, also with conditions, created in International Agricultural University, which started its activity from academic year 2022-2023.

Afterwards, the guests, accompanied by Alisher Turaev, Director General of the National Centre (AKIS), visited the in vitro laboratory "Denova - Agro". They were introduced to the processes of growing paulownia, grapes, potatoes, cherries and raspberries in test tubes.
