Freight turnover of railway hit 22.441 bn tonnes-km in 2011

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan Temir Yollari state joint stock railway company fulfilled its main forecasts on transportation of cargoes and passengers in 2011.

The company’s press service said that the freight turnover of railway company made up 2.411 billion tonnes-km in 2011.

At the same time, the company added that the passenger turnover increased up to 2.95 billion passenger-km.

In the reporting period, cargoes for 59.6 million tonnes were sent from railway stations, the company added.
