Fund Forum noted that the concert attracted large crowd and the organizers shifted concert from Small Hall to Large Hall. The concert has been organized by the French Institute, the Embassy of France and the Fund Forum.

François Chaplin is pride of France and he is the best performer of works of Mozart and Chopin. His complete recording of the piano works by Claude Debussy was unanimously praised by the critics

The maestro also gave a concert with the Symphonic Orchestra of Uzbekistan led by Zahid Haknazarov on 13 May 2001. The performance of Chopin and Symphonic Orchestra of Uzbekistan was welcomed with applauses.

Ambassador of France to Uzbekistan Francois Gauthier said: “It is pleasant that the concerts attracted large number of people. François Chaplin arrived in Uzbekistan between his concert tours to London, New York, Berlin.”

He expressed hope that the cultural exchange between Uzbekistan and France will develop further in future as well.
