Four Uzbek boxers reach final of World Cup in Brazil
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Four members of the Uzbekistan boxing team have reached the final of the World Cup in Brazil, organized by World Boxing. This was reported by the press service of the National Olympic Committee.
The finalists are: Turabek Khabibullaev (90 kg), Asilbek Jalilov (50 kg), Fazliddin Erkinboev (75 kg), and Jahongir Zokirov (over 90 kg). At the same time, Madiyar Daniyarov (60 kg), who lost in the semifinals to Brazilian Luis Oliveira, won the bronze medal.
The second day of the semifinals is scheduled for April 4. On this day, three more Uzbek boxers will compete: Mirazizbek Mirzahhalilov (55 kg) will face Jose Felipe from Guatemala, Jahavhir Ummataliyev (80 kg) will fight Kazakhstan’s Dias Molzhigitov, and Akmaljon Isroilov (85 kg) will compete against Poland’s Jakub Straszewski.
