Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan continues its efforts to repatriate children left without parental care abroad.

On 17 October, employees of the National Agency for Social Protection and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan welcomed four minor citizens of Uzbekistan at Tashkent International Airport.

These children were returned home as part of a cooperation agreement on the return of minor citizens signed between the CIS member states and the Center for Temporary Custody of Juvenile Offenders of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Moscow.

This year, 100 minor citizens of Uzbekistan have already returned home and have been placed under the care of parents or close relatives.

Efforts to bring back children facing difficult life situations abroad and provide them with social assistance continue.
