On 16 October 2017, the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a resolution “On establishment of the Foundation for Development of Culture and Arts under the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan”.

The Foundation is formed on the basis of the non-budgetary Fund for Development of Culture and Arts under the Ministry of Culture.

The new fund will contribute to development of the sphere of culture and art, as well as to support cultural figures and their projects.

The Foundation will also expand international and interstate cultural ties and attract foreign investment and grants.
