Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A foreign tourist in the event of infection with a coronavirus infection in Uzbekistan may receive compensation in the amount of US$3,000.
This is envisaged by the President’s resolution “On additional measures for the development of the tourism sector with strict observance of the requirements of the enhanced sanitary and epidemiological security regime”.
According to the document, during the quarantine, the provision of tourist services by the tour operator can be carried out only at facilities, which are included in the register “Uzbekistan. Safe travel guaranteed”.
In accordance with the resolution, a system of sanitary and epidemiological safety will be introduced in Uzbekistan. Safe travel guaranteed, Uzbekistan 24 TV channel reported.
Within the framework of the system, tour operators, hotels and all those associated with the tourism industry will apply for a special certificate, which will be issued upon fulfillment of a number of necessary requirements. Objects that have such certificates will be able to work with tourists. These objects will be included in the Register of safe tourism objects.
The certification system for entrepreneurs will operate on a voluntary basis. These measures will be introduced mandatory at state facilities.
Within the framework of this system, the Safe Tourism Fund will be created. The Anti-Crisis Fund will provide 20 billion soums to finance the Safe Tourism Fund. Certification fees will also be sent to the Safe Tourism Fund.
