Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 20 May, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov held a meeting with a member of the Politburo of the CPC Central Committee, Minister of Foreign Affairs of China Wang Yi in Astana.

Bakhtiyor Saidov is in Kazakhstan to participate in the next meeting of the Council of Heads of the SCO Foreign Ministries.

“The high dynamics of our industrial, investment, intellectual, cultural and interregional contacts are aimed at bringing the best results to the people of Uzbekistan and China,” noted the head of the Foreign Ministry of Uzbekistan.

The ministers exchanged views on further strengthening the friendship and comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries, focusing on the full and timely implementation of agreements reached at the highest level.

The parties also discussed current issues on the regional and global agenda.
