Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- As part of the joint project "Tashkent - accelerating investment in low-carbon transport", which is carried out jointly by the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the representative office of the United Nations Development Program in Uzbekistan, an international training seminar was organized.

Employees of the Ministry of Transport and Toshshahartranskhizmat JSC took part in the training seminar on the topic “Purchase, planning and financing of electric buses”, organized in Izmir, Turkey.

This training seminar was organized by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, as well as the International Public Transport Association, with the aim of assisting cities where an electric bus fleet is being introduced, through the dissemination of advanced foreign experience and knowledge.

During the training, the trainees got acquainted with the information on the processes of purchasing electric buses, the effective organization of the charging system, various approaches to financing the purchase of electric buses and public transport.

Also, as part of the training program, the participants visited the bus fleet of the ESHOT organization, which is the largest transport operator in Izmir, and got acquainted with the infrastructure of electric buses, the press service of the Ministry of Transport reports.
