The contest was organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Uzbekistan. Over 950 spectators watched the contest.

On 13 May, some 91 teams participated the qualification stage. Some 200 performs participated in this stage and 57 of them qualified to finals.

According to the decision of the jury, Fomalhaut, consisting of Khujabayeva Nigina and Yakubova Mokhloroyim, received the Grand Prix. They performed song “Female President”.

The first place was given to the dance-vocal group “Aladdin”, consisting of nine performers of different nationalities, who sang the song of the famous Korean band TINY-G “Miniminimo”.

All other teams were awarded with diplomas and valuable prizes.

Ambassador of the Republic of Korea in Uzbekistan Kwon Yongwoo noted the growing popularity of the Korean Wave in Uzbekistan, which serves as another step in bringing together two friendly countries in the cultural sphere. He expressed hope for good results of the winners of the Grand Prix and First place in the final of K-POP WORLD FESTIVAL 2017, which will be held in the Republic of Korea.

Performances of the Grand Prix and First Place winners will be posted on the KBS website, and their participation in the final of K-POP WORLD FESTIVAL 2017, which will be held on 29 September 2017 in the Republic of Korea, will be decided through Internet voting among Korean viewers and evaluation of a professional jury.
