Flight Test youth exhibition
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 22 April, an exhibition titled “Flight Test” opened its doors at Tashkent’s Youth Creativity Centre. The participants of the project – students of the said institute – will present their artistic works, installations, photo- and video-art. The exhibition has been organized by Tashkent Architecture and Construction Institute and the Fund Forum.

Each person is born free, and no matter what he is fated to go through, he struggles all his life to preserve his freedom and the right to contribute to the world in a constructive or destructive fashion. When is this personal choice between construction and destruction made? Perhaps, it is due to the daily bits of our experience of perceiving the world around us and is determined by the amount of positive and negative feelings we derive. And if the choice is to embark on the constructive path culminating in creative self-realization, then without a free flight we would deprive it of romance and air space.

“We have made our choice,” say the artists involved in the project, “and we want to show how many questions and answers form in our inner world.”

On display are artistic works, photo- and video-art as well as installations.

The Fund Forum accords significant attention to the support of creative youth in Uzbekistan. The Fund Forum’s projects in culture, arts, sports, science and education draw an increasing number of young people wishing to hone their skills and are an important part of the efforts to boost their professional level.

The exhibition will last until 5 May 2010.
