Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 8 February 2019, Uzbekistan’s first national hockey championship started. The opening ceremony of the tournament was attended by the President of the National Olympic Committee Umid Akhmatdjanov, the press service of the NOC of Uzbekistan said.

In the first match, Tashkent defeated Binokor with a score of 5:1. In the second game, in a more intense match, the Semurg beat Humo with a score of 5:4.

Matches of the second round will be held on 10 February. The Binokor will face Semurg, and Tashkent will play with Humo.

The games of the championship are held on the new ice arena “Ice City”.
