First children’s smart watches with Alice from Yandex appeared in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The world’s first children’s smart watches appeared in Uzbekistan with the support of voice assistant Alice, video calls and GPS tracking. Elari KidPhone 3G is the first device released by a third-party company based on Yandex.IO.

The gadget will help parents know where their children are, and always be in touch with them by phone, video or via voice SMS, and Alice will make sure that the child does not get bored and constantly evolving.

Sales started at the Arena Markaz gadget and accessories stores, which are located in the Compass shopping center (1st floor) and in the Malika market (B29 store). The price of the device is 859,999 soums.

In Elari KidPhone 3G, Alice is more than a voice assistant. She is ready to answer tricky children’s questions, she can just chat with a child, can solve math problems, play cities, words, “Zoology”, “Guess a song” and other games, guess riddles, joke, tell tales and much more. These abilities are specially refined: the Yandex team taught Alice to better understand children’s speech and to offer content that is suitable for children. In addition, Elari and other partners of Yandex are already developing new and useful skills specifically for KidPhone 3G, which will be available in the coming months.

Smart watches have important communication and security functions - they are fully controlled from parents’ smartphones through the Elari SafeFamily app, support voice and video calls, and their location and movement history can be seen at any time thanks to GPS / WiFi / LBS tracking. A child can call authorized contacts to parents, as well as arrange video chat with them - including with friends who have the same smart watch. During classes or a quiet hour, parents can remotely switch the clock to the “At class” mode, and in case of an emergency, the child can use the SOS alarm button, notifying all adults who have signed up for it at once.

Yosef Sachs, founder of Elari: “I am very grateful to the joint team of Yandex and Elari for the many months of effort to implement this project, and I believe that the release of KidPhone 3G is much more than the launch of the next device. Elari KidPhone 3G makes Alice accessible to children from an early age and teaches them to communicate with a cheerful and experienced virtual friend. Thus, we, on the one hand, create a wonderful new platform for the development of children, and on the other, we are taking a step towards a world in which voice communication with gadgets to get information, service or product will become as familiar and convenient as using smartphones today.”
