Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 16 October 2024, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov welcomed the newly appointed Ambassador of Uganda to Uzbekistan Moses Kawaluko Kizige.
The parties expressed a mutual desire to deepen cooperation in political, economic, and cultural spheres, as well as in the realm of people-to-people diplomacy.
"We welcome Uganda’s successful chairmanship in the Non-Aligned Movement and appreciate the support for our upcoming chairmanship in the Movement from 2027 to 2029. Establishing political consultations between our foreign ministries will lay a solid foundation for promising cooperation for the benefit of our nations. Our agenda also included strengthening ties between business communities, collaboration within international organizations, and realizing untapped potential," the Minister noted on his Telegram channel.
