Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers “On measures to verify compliance with fire safety requirements of buildings and structures owned by individuals and legal entities” was adopted.

From 1 January 2024, a procedure for independent verification of compliance with fire safety requirements (fire audit) of buildings and structures owned by individuals and legal entities will be introduced.

The document approved the Regulations on the procedure for conducting a fire audit, which defines:

requirements for the fire audit organization and fire auditors who independently assess the compliance of buildings and structures with fire safety requirements;

rights, duties and responsibilities of the fire audit organization and the owner of the facility;

the procedure for assessing the fire safety of buildings and structures owned by individuals and legal entities, preparing and sending documents;

the procedure for appointing experts from a fire audit organization, conducting tests, maintaining a register of certified experts, and terminating the validity of a certificate.

The validity period of the conclusion based on the results of confirmation of compliance with the fire safety of buildings and structures is one year.

The document also approved the Regulations on the procedure for certification of specialists of the fire audit organization.

A certified specialist is an individual who has the necessary knowledge, skills, practical experience and higher education in the field of conformity assessment, who has completed the educational program at the Academy of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and has successfully passed the tests.
