Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Today there was a fire and an explosion at the Tumangaz enterprise in the Yangiabad mahalla of Pakhtachi district of Samarkand region. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

“Today, on 9 May, at 21:25, the Department of Emergency Situations received a message about a fire and an explosion at the Tumangaz enterprise, located in Yangiabad mahalla of Pakhtachi district of Samarkand region,” the ministry said in a statement.

In this regard, fire and rescue crews immediately arrived at the scene, which are currently engaged in extinguishing the fire. Crews arrived at the scene of the incident at 21:30, the fire is being extinguished.

The situation is under control, according to the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

“On 9 May 2023, at about 21:25 in Pakhtachi district of Samarkand region, a car intended for the transport of liquefied gas caught fire. At present, the fire has been localized," the press service of Khududgaztaminot said in a statement.
