Fines introduced for illegal demands of unlisted reports from entrepreneurs

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — At the 57th plenary session of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, a law was passed amending Article 24110 of the Administrative Responsibility Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan. This law is aimed at simplifying the process for entrepreneurs to submit reports to state authorities.

The ongoing dialogue between the President of Uzbekistan and entrepreneurs, which took place on 9 January 2024, led to a resolution "On Measures to Further Simplify the Reporting and Statistical Data Submission Processes for Entrepreneurs to State Authorities."

According to the resolution, 34 types of duplicate reports and statistical data, which could be obtained by state bodies from other agencies, were abolished starting in 2024.

It is now prohibited to request reports from entrepreneurs that are not included in a unified list, and it has been established that reports are to be submitted exclusively through information systems.

As a result of eliminating duplicate reports and statistical data that previously existed in relevant information systems, an annual saving of 500 million soums is expected for 21,500 entrepreneurs.

Most importantly, the resolution approved a unified list of reports and statistical data that entrepreneurs must submit to state bodies. Any demand for reports not included in this list is prohibited.

The law discussed at the session enhances the accountability of state bodies when accepting reports from entrepreneurs and introduces penalties for demanding reports not listed in the unified register.

This law aims to increase the responsibility of state authorities when requesting reports and create more favorable conditions for entrepreneurial activity.

After the discussion, the law was approved.
