Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Presidential Resolution “On additional measures to improve the financing of business initiatives of the population within the framework of family entrepreneurship development programs” was adopted.

According to the Resolution, from 1 April 2024, loans under the programs are allocated to self-employed individuals (with the exception of persons with their main place of work):

- up to 33 million soums, after one year - additionally up to 50 million soums on a revolving basis based on the efficiency of the business activity of the given borrower, the intended use of the loan and, if necessary, at the request of a group (at least 3 citizens);

- to use these loans in several areas of development of household farming (poultry farming, rabbit farming, livestock farming, beekeeping, fish farming and compact greenhouse);

- owners of household lands with more than 10 acres of land area, and tenants - up to 50 million soums without collateral;

- to create compact greenhouses on 10 acres and organize fish farming activities - up to 100 million soums without collateral.

The Agency for Mahallabay Work and Entrepreneurship Development, together with authorized banks, starting from 1 July 2024, will introduce a mechanism for monitoring the targeted use of loans allocated under programs in mahallas, as well as assessing their effectiveness.
