Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 18 July, the Minister of Finance Timur Ishmetov met with Alexei Prazdnichnykh, Executive Director and Senior Research Fellow of the Eurasian Competitiveness Institute.

Eurasia Competitiveness Institute (ECI) is an international think tank with a focus on competitiveness, prosperity and economic integration in the Eurasia region. The Institute is registered in Belgium as an international non-profit organization.

Deputy Minister of Finance - Odilbek Isakov, State Budget Department director -Sherzod Mukhamedov, Capital Market Development Department director - Sarvar Akhmedov, and Project Management Department director - Temur Malik Narzikulov also attended the meeting.

The parties discussed potential directions for the development of the strategy and work plan of the Ministry of Finance, improving the competitiveness of the economy and the development of the financial sector.

As a result of the negotiations, the parties agreed to discuss further possible ways of cooperation.
