Fifth Festival of Traditional and Modern Art “Navkiron Uzbekiston -2012”
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In the evening of 22 August an opening of one of the brightest festivals of Uzbekistan “Navkiron Uzbekiston-2012” was taking place in the city Palace of Youth Creativity.

This Festival held in a biennial format – once every 2 years – has covered about 350 representatives of the Uzbekistan creative youth in the age from 17 to 35 this year. This Festival “Navkiron Uzbekiston” starts its history from the year of 2004 and it is an author’s project of Fund Forum Charitable Council Chairperson – Gulnara Karimova.

From year to year “Navkiron – 2012” shows an excellent dynamics of its development gradually involving larger and larger number of the youth from all parts of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

It should be mentioned that these days over 2,500 works in various art forms: painting, sculpture, ceramics, carpet weaving, wood engraving, jewelry etc are being exhibited in the Palace of Youth Creativity. Special attractiveness of the Exhibition is also added by an abundance of modern art medium of expression – video-art, performance, scenography, fashion design etc.

The Exhibition in the framework of the Festival “Navkiron Uzbekiston - 2012” shows vividly that the creative youth of Uzbekistan is working in various directions: from realism to post-modernism, from small expressive forms to large animated compositions.

Having studied the Festival dynamics it can be concluded that the modern art of Uzbekistan is making its headway, it is always finding new forms of expressions. As the organizers say “The Festival space is space of creative experiment, freedom of artistic self-actualization, expression of one’s own “Me” in the language of the modern art”.

Master-classes to be given by leading artists of Uzbekistan as well as the review of the works presented and so on will take place in the framework of the Festival. The Festival “Navkiron Uzbekiston - 2012” will last 2 weeks and in the first days of September an awarding solemn ceremony of the best works of the Festival will take place.
