Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan’s futsal team lost to Paraguay in the second round of the home-hosted FIFA Futsal World Cup 2024™ in Tashkent.

The match ended with a score of 4:1 in favor of Paraguay. The only goal for Uzbekistan was scored by Khusnidin Nishanov.

After two rounds, Uzbekistan has earned just one point and is currently in third place in Group A.

To advance to the playoffs, the team needs to win their match against Costa Rica. Additionally, the Netherlands must not win their match against Paraguay, which is currently leading Group A with six points. The Netherlands currently has two points.

Thailand defeated Cuba 10:5. The Netherlands and Costa Rica played to a 2:2 draw. Brazil crushed Croatia with an 8:1 victory.
