FIFA approves Bunyodkor stadium
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
FIFA, a global football governing body, officially approved newly constructed Bunyodkor stadium as a venue for the match between Uzbekistan and Lebanon within the 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, Uzbekistan Football Federation said.
On 18 February, UFF received a letter from FIFA Head of World Cup and Olympic Qualifiers Gordon Savic. In the letter, FIFA officially approved new stadium as the venue for the match between Uzbekistan and Lebanon.
Representative of Department on holding competitions of AFC Pavel Luzanov visited the stadium to inspect the stadium. AFC official reviewed all services and divisions of new stadium. It was stated that new stadium meets all requirements.
The match between Uzbekistan and Lebanon will be held on 26 March 2013.
