Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 3 June 2020, at a meeting of activists in Sokh district of Ferghana region, chaired by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan, a number of instructions were given to the Ministry for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications in order to further improve the field of information technologies and communications.

In accordance with this, the Ministry for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications promptly takes the necessary measures in the course of implementing measures to address problematic issues and the socio-economic development of Sokh district of Ferghana Region. For this purpose, a special working group of the Ministry was created.

In order to expand the telecommunication infrastructure of Sokh district and improve the quality of services, 62 kilometers of fiber-optic cables, modern equipment with a capacity of 536 ports, 40 pieces of reinforced concrete structures 7 meters high, 5 base mobile communication stations were delivered to the district: Uzbektelecom branch - a company Uzmobayl - 2 antenna masts, Coscom LLC - 1 antenna mast and UMS LLC - 2 antenna masts, vehicles and special materials.

Currently, 13 reinforced concrete structures (33%) have been installed in the direction of Gaznov - Tul, 16 kilometers of fiber optic cables have been delivered for construction and installation works.

In Sokh district, 5 base stations of mobile communication are installed. In particular, in the village of Lenburg, on 2 antenna masts (provided by UMS LLC and Coscom LLC), base stations of high-speed Internet were installed and put into operation.

In the village of Chashma, installation work was completed on the installation of an antenna mast and two base stations of high-speed Internet (GSM and CDMA), provided by the Uzbektelecom branch - Uzmobile company. Repair work is ongoing.

At the same time, in the branches of Uzbektelecom - Uzmobile in the villages of Kalacha, Malbut, Lenburg and Tul, the transport conductivity to the existing stations was doubled.

Over 50 specialists and employees were involved in these works.
