Ferghana to Launch Projects in New Industrial Zone with Participation of Chinese Investors

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Ferghana region is set to launch new projects in a special industrial zone based on advanced international experience.

Regional governor Khayrullo Bozorov held a meeting with Deng Siyuan, Director of International Relations at the Chinese consulting company Gascia-Aksu Alliance. The company specializes in the construction and management of industrial zones, as well as in attracting investments.

During the Ferghana delegation’s visit to China’s Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, the sides reached a preliminary agreement to establish import-substitution industries in the special industrial zone “Ferghana — New Opportunities.” On a 52-hectare site in Furqat district, projects are planned for the production of pharmaceutical products and air purification systems.

The Chinese side presented information on several promising initiatives, including the construction of modern enterprises and the involvement of Chinese entrepreneurs. It was emphasized that the implementation of these projects would make a significant contribution to the regional economy.

Khayrullo Bozorov expressed his support for the investors’ plans and assured that the regional administration would provide comprehensive assistance in their implementation.

Following the talks, the parties agreed to intensify joint efforts and accelerate practical steps to advance cooperation.
